I really like what affinity does, but apparently it's time to admit to myself that the program is not intended for work yet. Settings are not saved, the application constantly crashes. All imported brushes do not work correctly. But at the moment it is impossible to work normally in affinity and this is sad. After a few months working in affinity now I think to switch back to photoshop. I was so happy that there is an alternative to a computer and a full version to a tablet. Could you provide the image before resizing? Resizing images is another potential cause for blurriness. This is a prime source for blurry images. The layers use fractional values for x/y position (move tool, transform panel).
Never the less, some problematic observations: Except at the edges, but this is caused by partial transparency. I cannot spot any difference between the „background“ and „merged“ layers.
